A Call for Credibility and Humanity

This week I had the opportunity to have a discussion with Mitchell Levy, who coaches and podcasts on credibility, success, and humanity.
Mitchell (great name, right?) defines credibility as being known, being likeable, and being trustworthy, and it stems from being human.
This discussion was like a pattern interrupt for me, as I saw how I presented myself through the eyes of another person with a mission to change the world.
As he pointed out, my camera position, my web presence, and my lack of clarity in how I talked about MindShifting all subtracted from my credibility, even though I came across as likeable and trustworthy.
I’m now working on those.
Most of us have been conditioned to hide our humanity, and so we can’t be credible. Humanity means being or having
Vulnerable
Integrity
Authentic
Trustworthy
Servant leader
Intent and committed to do the right thing
Coachable
Eager to share the stage and treat others with respect
You should watch his TEDx talk where he expands on what this means.
